Singapore Seah Clan Association Scholarship
RULES FOR APPLICATION OF SCHOLARSHIP
- Application for the scholarship is open to all Singapore Seah Clan Association members and their children, who are still attending school or tertiary institution. Selection is strictly based on the academic results. The objective of the Scholarship is to assist them to succeed in their studies, later in life and thereafter contribute to the local community, including our Association.
- All successful applicants are selected and approved by the Education Committee. The scholarships will be funded from the Education Fund of the Association.
- SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS / CATEGORIES
The number of scholarships and the amounts of scholarships are divided into the following four groups:
3.1 Tertiary $300
3.2 Junior College / Polytechnic / ITE $300
3.3 Secondary $250
3.4 Primary 4 / 5 / 6 $200 - CRITERIA
4.1 All applicants must be a member or children of a member of the Association at the time of application.
4.2 Applicants must be of good conduct and character.
4.3 Applicants must be studying in schools under MOE at that time of application.
4.4 Applicants who have contributed and participated in our Association’s activities will be given priority.
4.5 Applications with incomplete details will be disqualified. - ACADEMIC RESULTS
5.1 First-year undergraduates will be assessed based on their year 2023 A Level results together with the enrolment and acceptance letter from the University. For others, they will be assessed based on their year 2023 Examinations results.
5.2 First-year Junior College/Polytechnic/ITE students will be assessed based on their year 2023 O/N Level and the latest examination results in the Junior College/Polytechnic/ITE. For others, they will be based on their year 2023 Examination results.
5.3 First-year Secondary School students will be assessed based on their year 2023 PSLE and the latest examination results. For others, they will be assessed based on their year 2023 Examination results.
5.4 Primary 4/5/6 students will be assessed based on their year 2023 Examination results. - APPLICATION PROCEDURE
6.1 Application Form and Required Documents can be mailed to Singapore Seah Clan Association at 51 Lorong 8 Geylang S(399111) or emailed to singaporeseahclan@gmail.com.
6.2 To apply online, please click on the link https://staging.sgseahclan.org/scholarship-application-form/, email the required documents to singaporeseahclan@gmail.com.
6.3 Application period will be from 23rd September to 12th October 2024, 2359hrs.
6.4 Applications received after the closing date will not be considered.
6.5 Applicants must abide by the Rules stipulated by the Education Committee and their decision is final.
6.6 In the event when there is any discrepancy in the Rules, the Education Committee has the rights to make alteration and inform the Board Council in due course - The Current Rules have been updated and approved by the 52nd Board Council at the 7th Council Meeting held on 20 September 2024.
